no sound on mac cant hear mic or game sound please help

ive been trying for months to get obs to work on my macbook air my mic and game sound does not work ive tried a dozen fixes but no fix if anyone can help me with getting my sound from my mic and game capture card to work that would be great thanks
 
Hi hiefctr56, could you let us know what solutions you've tried?

Are you using an external program (Blackhole, vb-cable, etc) to route desktop audio into an input? What kind of mic do you have and how is it set up in OBS?

Really can't suggest much from the info provided.
 
i have a macbook air 2020 and ive tried to set up my blue snowball to obs to see if it will capture my audio and it doesnt even pick up my mackbook air mic and it works seamlessly with every other streaming service like stream labs and twitch studio but my mic doesnt even show up in obs like when im talking i dont see anything moving if you have anthing to help that would be great because i really want to use obs
 
Thanks for the extra info. Could you please tell me what you're doing to attempt to add the interface to OBS? Are you adding the mic as a global input in preferences, or as an audio source in your scene?

Sorry to start questions at such a basic level, but I'm not sure if Streamlabs or Twitch auto-add available inputs and that might be throwing you. OBS requires input devices to be added before they can be seen or heard in a scene.
