No Sound On Home Screen?

Hello,

I am extremely new to OBS and audio/video capture in general, so please bear with me, although I feel like this should be a very easy question to answer.

Much to my surprise, I have got my capture card set-up exactly how I want it. When I make a recording, the output file has audio & video - absolutely perfect. However, on the "home screen" of the OBS software, I can only see the video and not hear the audio. How can I get the audio to play on the homescreen too? It is obviously being captured because the output files have the audio included. I just can't hear the audio "live" when not recording. Hopefully that makes sense?

I managed to fix it. No idea how to be honest, but it's now playing the audio on the home screen also.

The proper way would be to Edit->Advanced Audio properties and for your capture source, set the "Audio monitoring" setting to "monitor and output".
