Question / Help No sound in recording

HI

Im trying to record FL studio and me talking into a mic.
I did a few test recordings, and eventually got the settings right and it recorded both audio and mic.
I then started recording a longer video, thinking that the settings were ok, as I had not changed them, but when I listened back
the video was silent again.
The video records fine.....a bit laggy, but otherwise fine, but there is no sound either from FL studio, or from my mic. There is a definite signal
as the meters are responding to input, but it's just not being recorded in the final flv file, except for that one time. I didnt change any settings after that
but it failed to record anything.

this should be the log file if I've done it right -- https://obsproject.com/logs/1DBi2uJYj2Hs5Ht7

Im using windows 8.1 64bit, with an akai EIE pro audio interface and a mic plugged into the Line 1

Would appreciate some help. Thanks in advance =)

Update - I now have sound. I can record both my mic and the audio, BUT, the mic is beside one of my speakers, and so the mic is recording the speaker output as well, which is creating an echo as the sound is being recorded twice.

After going to file > settings > output > recording > type , and changing it from standard to FFmpeg I have sound, but it is also quieter than it was earlier.

Can anyone help me a) get rid of the echo, and b) raise the recording level of the mic in obs ( meter level is at 100% and audio is at 6& because the mic is so quiet.

This is the most recent log -- https://obsproject.com/logs/foHSTSuRjLS99b4l

I'm new at OBS too, but I believe I can help you.

The audio feedback is normal if the sound source and the mic are near... I recommend lower your speaker level or use headphones.
about raising your mic signal... right click add filter in the mic source and then add a "Gain" filter.
