Question / Help No Sound in Recorded Files

Hello,

Everything else works fine but the videos I produce have no sound in them. I was originally encoding to .flv and per a recommendation I found for the older version of OBS I tried switching to another format (.mkv). In both cases there is no sound although the mixer displays output. I had a similar issue before which was solved by setting the gain in OBS Studio to a very large value, but that doesn't work in this case.

If I try to adjust the advanced recording settings most selected values result in an unspecified error. Recording to 3g2 with libx264 and aac works, but does not produce a file with sound. Selecting "default encoding" in this menu will record to mp4, again with no sound.

I have tried the "Default" adapter and the adapter associated with my display's output and the video card (there is one audio device that does not show any output in the mixer that I did not try) and neither works.

Any ideas?

I apologize for commenting to bring up my post in the thread list, but this is keeping me from using OBS Studio. If nobody has a solution for OBS Studio, is there a way to record audio with another program and then sync them?

Records fine for me.
Are you using the "Audio Input Capture" for your mic and the "Audio Output Capture" (Set on Default) for the audio capture? It's the only thing I can think of.

Please post a log

But if it's showing output in the mixer then there is audio, perhaps you messed with the audio tracks in Edit -> Advanced Audio Properties?
