No sound in my OBS Stream recording

Hi there

I am having real problems getting OBS to record and playback streams.

I have the following setup:

• Pioneer XDJ-RX2 DJ controller
• Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Laptop
• Amazon Basics 3.5mm to 2-Male RCA Adapter Cable - 2.4m / 8 Feet
• Sabrent USB External Stereo Sound Adapter

I am connecting out of the Master booth connection from my controller to my laptop using the Sabrent USB External Stereo Adapter (plugged in the Green socket)



However I am getting no sound at all. I have setting the Audio Input to point to my soundcard

First.. The green socket is stereo "output" jack ! means that only data can go "out" from USB over the jack into your headphones.
Input would be the pink one, but that wont work too.. This is an Adapter for Headsets ... U need a line in...
Go get a usb audio interface to plug in the cinch from master/rec out of the mixer and go into computer via usb...
you can get an interface from behringer for around 20.-
