My video created with Magix Video de Luxe Plus contains the Audio and plays perfect when I run it in several viewers.
in OBS I can see the activity of the audio in the level display but with all possible Audio Output no sound appears.
The setting is active for all of them and output is set to "Monitor and Output".
I recently made the update to version29. Could this be reason for the malfunction. It was ok several time ago.
I cannot attach the original file. It is too large. If nevertheless necessary I could extract a shorter part.

1. Make sure you have the correct sound card set up
-Settings -> Audio -> Monitoring Device

2. Try to convert the video file and see if it works.
Good, fast, free software is Avidemux.
You don't need to convert the entire video.
Start of video select ctrl+PgUp
End of video select ctrl+PgDn
I would set:
- video output: mpeg4 avc (x264)
-audio output: aac (lav)
Save new video and test it in OBS

Thanks for your quick answer.
I tried to do as you recommended. It did not help actually.
But nevertheless this software can be very helpful to solve several problems.
Thanks for that, too.
I searched more and opened "Windows settings > Sound".
In the section "Extended Sound Options" I opened the the "App- volume and device settings"
iI clicked the Button "Reset" which resets to recommanded standard values of Microsoft.
After that the sound appeared in all of my sound devices.
If you aks me why - I don't know. But it works.

This recently happened to me. I never had a problem with this until three days ago when my SteelSeries crashed and messed all my stuff up to the point, I had to take it off my computer. Now, the there is signal but there no output. I tried going to the extended sound etc., but that's no longer an option. If anyone has answer that would be great.
