No picture. (No motion anyhow.)

I am trying to record a lecture off of YouTube. I'm on a iMac, Catalina, 32 gig of memory, Retina 5k, AMD Radeon R9 M295X 4 GB. I have installed iShowU successfully. I'm using the "Browser" source. When I copy the YouTube lecture URL into the appropriate place in the settings, the YourTube picture appears in the window. It displays the motion that should be visible (i. e., the opening credits of the lecture) and then just freezes about five seconds later. The video then stays on that one picture indefinitely. That is NOT how the program is supposed to run, right? When I end all of that and look at the .mov file that has been generated (I prefer that to ".mklv," whatever that is!), I hear excellent audio, but the only thing I see is that one still picture.

Can anyone here help me with this? I just received OBS-Studio 12 hours ago, and I need it to work NOW! I'm sure that I'm missing a step or a setting somewhere, but I just don't have the time to wade through endless pages of documentation.
