Question / Help No mic recording in OBS tested with Bandicam as well

my mic isnt recorded the green bar is moving however i did try just audio recording via voice recorder in windows and it worked any ideas why my mic isnt being recorded in OBS

What media player are you checking your recordings with?

I tried both Windows media player and VLC

That's the main window. Click the gear by the word mixer.

Then the audio should be working fine.
Got a sample clip that's supposed to have mic audio that doesn't? If so, upload it to a site like dropbox or mega and link it.

ok so i watched the video lol and theres audio... so both windows media player and VLC is apparently not playing it I apologize for taking your time thanks for the help

Saving directly to mp4 isn't recommended either. Too many problems relating to how the file behaves when it doesn't finalize properly.

What do you recommend instead?

Unless you need multi-track audio, save to flv.
If you need multi-track audio, save to mkv.
