I've been at this for 3 days. When I open OBS, add Video capture device all is well. I add the mic through the PC just fine. I recorded a few times to check levels and quality, FINE. I go to broadcast and ALL audio drops out. How can I play the game if I can't Fkn hear it? How do I get the sound back?
I didn't have Audio Output on at all. Only the Capture Card and the mic and it was fine. I turned EVERYTHING OFF. Restarted... NO AUDIO.
It is in the recording, not the live feed. I need the live feed.
Do I watch the replay on a 10 second delay so I can at least guess where the baddies are?
How do I get the LIVE AUDIO back? It was there... it IS there but I can't hear it. The audio just dropped out.
Recordings have audio, but I don't while recording. The playback on my live stream has sound, just not me... live... in OBS... playing the game.
Am I making my problem clear enough?
 
real-time video encoding is VERY computationally demanding. So a useful step is to monitor hardware resource (CPU, GPU, RAM, Disk I/O, etc) utilization [for ex. using Task manager’s Performance tab and/or Resource Monitor] to see if your system is being maxed out with your settings

Sounds like your system is overloaded, but can't tell from your description.
And because your recorded fine, I'm not suspecting you are unaware of the OBS Audio Mixer - Monitor vs Output setting. Right?

Please post a log with your issue! Here's how...

OBS Studio creates a log file each time you run it which contains very useful diagnostic information. Without a log file, it's much harder for any support volunteers to figure out problems and your post may be ignored. To upload a log file, go to the Help menu > Log Files > Upload Last Log...

I went to Discord, I was told about the Monitor Vs Output... I got the mic back. But no game sound.
It worked once, then nothing.
I was experimenting by recording first, checking levels, mic echo, everything was Ok, I went to live stream and the Video Capture stopped giving me audio. The bars were not moving but I had sound. The mic's track was fine. I had game audio then, none. It worked once. I submitted the "log" as asked and was told I don't have the right hardware.
Then why did it work before? Then I was asked to leave. Thanks for "helping" Fam. It's not a ME thing it is a software thing.
It worked once and now I can't get it back. Old settings (default) and those suggested, still nothing. Guess I need to spend more money...
