Hello,
I'm a bit baffeld. Usually i can choose where i want programms to install - as i dont want to but things on my C:\ drive, that do not belong nessesarily there. So when I opend up the install Shield for OBS the first time, i was sure i just missed the option, but on teh second and even third time i'm blind. or OBS really has a hardcoded c:\programms\ in it.

Am I just overseeing the option to point the install elsewhere?

The installation is hardcoded, but you are free to move the folder anywhere you want and it will work just fine. You could also just download the zip files then place them where you wish in the first place also. The settings for OBS are stored in %appdata% so this is why it does not make a difference where the exe is.

then, just out of curiosity - when you can shift around the exe as you like (witch you can't do with most exe's/programms) why'd you not install it where the user wants it?

hardcoded install in %PROGRAMFILES% / %PROGRAMFILES(X86)% is even refered by Microsoft as foolish

You are free to contribute to OBS by updating the installer yourself and committing this to the project.
