Question / Help No desktop audio capture

Can't seem to get desktop (and therefore game) audio captured, I have the desktop audio set to default (i.e. my headphones which are set as both the communication and default device in the audio settings). It captures mic audio perfectly but no noise is captured or noticed on the audio bar for desktop audio.

Windows 10, Razer Kraken, OBS MP 0.12.0

Any ideas? Thanks!

I have this problem too, although there is a workaround, don't set it to default. Select your headset instead. In OBS that is.

Hi,

I have same problem with Razer Kraken 7.1 USB. When I switch to my speakers sound is ok but not razer :/ I think it's something with razer drivers ( razer synapse ) and OBS MP ( normal OBS works fine with razer ). I've searched for whole forum and I found that this problem was on normal OBS too. Someone had a clue to fix it and it's to close synapse and kill all process that is connected to razer. After test it works but it mess with all my sounds i setup in razer. Tho it was somehow fixed in normal obs itself later, so we need a fix for OBS MP too :)

OSB MP: 0.12.2 and 0.12
Windows 7 x64

PS. Sorry for my english.

General operating procedure for the Kraken with OBS1 is to use the 64-bit version of OBS, and if that isn't an option then to remove the Kraken Launcher from startup and reboot. Does this still work for OBS-MP?

@Sapiens, like I said Kraken works fine with normal OBS and it doesn't matter whether it is x64 or x86. Kraken don't work on OBS-MP till I kill processes of Kraken Launcher or uninstall it, but this is still not the solution im searching. If Kraken works only on x64 version of OBS like you said then is there OBS-MP x64? Because installer install only x86 version from the one on website.

YES THANKYOU!!! I've been trying to get my sounds to work for over a week now! All it took was to use the 64-Bit -.- lol Thanks again. :)

Ok, then that's my fail then. I'll check it when im home.
Ty.

Edit:

Tested on OBS MP x64 and works fine :)
Yes this does work, make sure you are using the x64 version if you have a Razer Headset, this does not matter if you are using Razer Synapse. Works with OBS Studio 0.15.4 x64 Windows 10

Fixed the problem go to the Gear Icon on Desktop Audio it should be next to the "Mute Volume" Icon then add filter "Gain" and increase the volume to your liking Happy Streaming. :D

Above didn't fix the problem for me, but I found a solution though.
If you're using 64 bit OBS, switch to 32 bit OBS and see if that will make a difference :)
