Question / Help No Auido Through Mic Headset Speakers

Im using the latest build of OBS and am using video capture device mode, the capture device in question is a MicomSoft XCAPTURE-1 USB 3.0 HD Capture Unit, the setup im after is only game audio to come through the speakers on my mic headset and not to pick up any windows audio.

But i dont appear to be able to achieve this, as the audio only appears to come out of my main PC speakers, in the sound settings in OBS i have set, Desktop Audio Device as 'Speakers (Creative USB Headset)' and Microphone/Auxiliary Audio Device as the same but still the audio comes out of the main PC speakers and not the speakers in my headset. Any ideas on how to set this up some the capture audio comes out of my headset speakers?

I am so jealous, everyone's getting the xcapture-1 but me. That device is the best on the market right now.

Those settings are for audio capture, not audio playback. Do you have the xcapture-1 audio set to "output to desktop"? If so, there isn't actually an option to set which output that goes to right now, it goes to your default output device in windows.

So if this is what you're trying to do, all you really need to do is go to windows control panel, sound control panel, then set your default playback device to your headset.

Thanks Jim, yeah thats what i ended up doing just changing the headset to the default sound device in the CP, i usually use AmaRecTV program and that has a 'Audio Renderer Setting' where you can select a device as 'Play' so i select the headset and then all windows sound comes out of my normal PC speakers and only game capture audio through my headset. Any chance this sort of option can be added to OBS in a update at all??

The xcapture is awesome i believe it the only device on the market that can do 240p all the way up to 1080p, great for retro goodness!!.
