I have no audio input into OBS from my Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 interface...i have a source plugged into the interface and signal going into the interface...but no signal going into OBS. OBS is configured to the Focusrite interface, yet there is no audio entering either from the mic nor my DAW...what did I miss?

OBS by default does not like ASIO sources. You may need to install the obs-asio plugin, and/or use something like the ReaRoute software to get it working properly. Especially if you're using a DAW, which tend to force interfaces into exclusive ASIO mode, even if a standard DirectSound mode is otherwise available.
