No Audio with Elgato Wave Link in OBS

Hi everybody,

I hope, that someone can help me. Today I recieved a new Microphone, the Elgato Wave 3. With it comes the software Wave Link. In Wave Link it says, that you have to choose Wave Link (stream) as the source for your streaming software.

Well, i watched a pretty good youtube video to get everything right and did as it was described. I was certain, that it is not that easy and that you have to click some more options, so I started from the beginning.

The good news is, that the microphone works, because I hear myself over the monitor. The bad news is, that there is absolutly no sound in OBS if I choose Wave Link Stream as my audio source. The amplitude is not rising. I tested with the mic as source and there we go. The amplitude is rising and lowering as I speak.

So I watched the video again. I just don´t find the mistake. Can somebody please helpt me? I attached a Screenshot of Mircrosft Settings and OBS Settings. As you can see the amplitude is high, the mic is recordung, in windows and in wave link, but not in OBS. I also attached a Log from a video I recorded.

Thank you

Hey There, not sure if you are still facing this problem but I found that uninstalling wave link and re installing slovced my problem. I also left the master out put to the headphones plugged into my elgato mic and input at mic in

I had the same issue, in wave link everything was working but in OBS there was no audio coming so I checked the Mic/Aux filters which has the Wave Link Stream I had accidentally added some audio filters (noise gate) when I removed them it fixed the problem.

I had the same Problem and got help from the support:

Please try the following steps which might be helpful:
1. Close the Wave Link application via the tray icon in the task bar, then click on the Windows start button, write %appdata% and press enter.
2. Open the Elgato folder and rename the Wave Link folder (e.g. Wave Link2).
3. Run the Wave Link application.

Following this steps solved my problem!

You saved me. I just got the Stream Deck + and using my Yeti mic with the Wave Link software. In OBS the MicrophoneFX channel was working create. Then one day it just stopped and i could not figure out how to fix it. In OBS no audio was showing up, but in Wave Link it was working fine. It could only be heard in OBS if I turned up the microphone stream level in the Wave Link software, making it output in the Wave Stream channel in OBS. This was not ideal because I want to record and stream with separate channels for Mic, Chat and Stream (everything else). Doing this basically reset that folder. Thank again. Cheers!!

Maybe freaking mention that this will delete all set sources and filters.
Thanks to you I have to set up everything new....

2. ...rename the Wave Link folder (e.g. Wave Link2).
What did you expect? If you rename something, then software can't find it. That's the entire point!
Then the rebuild doesn't have the old problem...unless you recreate it.

By the way, the old stuff is still there, in the old folder that you renamed. The question though, is whether not-finding something caused something else to go away too. That's the risk of an auto-saving thing like OBS is.
