No Audio with 4 Cameras

Running OBS 27.1.3 on my Windows 10 Pro Desktop. I had three cameras and all was working fine. I added a 4th camera the other day. and I was not able to have all 4 cameras in one scene and be able to record them in one session. So I created a separate scene for each camera. I then installed Source Record Plug-in which I now can record all 4 cameras at the same time using a filter. So far so good. My problem is I can not get any audio on 3 of the 4 cameras. All cameras have a built in MIC. I start the recording and in the Mixer I see all cameras showing and all audio is on. One I play back the 4 recordings I only have audio on one of the 4.. What I really need is just of of the 3 that are not working record sound they are all in the same room and I would get feedback if they all were working. Anyone have a suggestion or idea what I may not have set correct? Thanks Tom

@trgrassijr

not evry USB port an a own USB port with full bandwitch

the most usb ports are like external hubs you have 4 ports but the 4 ports only have the bandwitch of one

Host controller -> USB HUB CHIP |-> Port 1 -> Device 1

Host conttroller max 20 gbits
UBb Hubchip max10gbits

when 4 devices on the hubchip you only have a bandwitch 2,5 gbits per device !

My computer is a Dell Computer I believe it has two available slots Would it be best to get a usb card 3.0 with 4 ports add two cards put 1 on each Since I only need one camera in my room to have audio maybe one card and plug the camera that I need the sound on into that usb card Thoughts

I did more testing.

I removed all but one camera and I left one that was not recording audio.

I then turned off the filter for Source Record.

And then when I recorded that source I had audio.

So I believe the Source Record Plugin does not record audio.

My Desktop Camera has a great MIC and picks up the sounds from my train room but I need to have one of the cameras in the train room record sound

Does anyone know about the Source Record Plugin? Do I need to post that question else where?

Thanks

Tom

Good news I got it working now. My OBS is 27.2.1 Source Record is 0.2.7 the fix was on the Source Record Filter I created I placed a Check in the box for Different Audio Set Audio Track to None and Set Source to MIC/AUX 4 Which is the camera in my train room saved that and now the audio on that scene records. I simple setting that all it was

Thanks for all the support
