Hi guys, I know this isn't caused by OBS but Avermedia are yet to respond to my query, and maybe somebody will know.
I have a streaming pc and xbox setup at the moment (I also have a gaming pc) but I have no audio coming from my capture card Audio out.
The setup:
Xbox one HDMI out > Streaming pc capture card HDMI IN
Capture card HDMI OUT > Gaming pc monitor
3.5mm headphone plugged into back of audio out on capture card
Streaming PC graphics card hdmi out to 2nd monitor
So my xbox sends hdmi to the capture card, capture card sends video to my gaming monitor, but I have no audio coming from the capture card audio out 3.5mm port.
The only way I have audio is to plug headphones into the xbox one controller (but then I have no alert notifications as nothing is plugged into the streaming pc)
Additional info:
- My gaming monitor has built in speakers, and the audio from the capture card works fine, just not in my headphones when I plug them in to audio out on the cap card.
- I also tried a recording to see if there was audio on the recording but there was no audio.
- On OBS the Video capture source is showing a constant level of sounds that does not change (the sound bar is half full but does not fluctuate)
Sounds like an Avermedia issue, as the sound is going through the hdmi and to the gaming monitor, but not coming out of the Avermedia via headphone jack, and also not able to hear any game audio through the pc.
Obviously I need to have game audio through the headphones but also pc audio through them aswell to get the alert notifications.
Am I missing anything equipment wise?
