No audio on recording.

Hi there.

I'm having difficulty getting any audio from a recording I'm making. It's not for streaming, it's strictly recording. The little MIC/AUX meter only displays white noise. The weird thing is that it was working 10 minutes ago, then it stopped working abruptly when I went to record new video. Video records just fine, but there is no audio accompanying it.

I have absolutely no idea what changed, but it's very frustrating. Hopefully the answer will be obvious to you folks. Thank you very much for your assistance, in advance.

To be more specific, I'm trying to record VHS tapes to a PC via a USB microphone

Same problem, but I’m recording Hi8 tapes to a PC using a video capture card. It worked fine with one tape, but not the next. I don’t think I changed anything but I’m mystified at what caused audio to stop outputting or recording.
