I can capture audio and video correctly. However, I added a Media source in my sources panel, point it to the file I just capture. I see the video but no audio.
-- (confirmed audio and video work in VLC on the same file) ,
-- X the 'use hardware decoding when avail'
-- tested on x11 and wayland
-- audio level is 100%
-- i see the Media Source audio bars going and detecting audio
-- tested global audio device settings both on 'builtin' and 'headphones' to no avail

Any help would be appreciated

A media source by default will be recorded to the stream. It will be not be echoed. You can change this by going into the advanced audio of that audio source. Select monitor or monitor and stream. But beware it may cause an echo depending on your configuration.

Thanks for the reply. I don't seem to be able to follow your explanation. I think you mean the advance audio of the audio source in the Source panel, which is a media source, but has no advanced settings.
