Question / Help No AUDIO line MAC El Capitan Saffire Pro 26

Hello friends, I have used OBS for a long time, with a Saffire Pro 24 audio card, from which I could only use a line input for use in OBS. I switched to the Saffire Pro 26 card, with more inputs and outputs, and I do not see the audio signal through any of the channels.

I have been reviewing the forum, and I see that it is said that OBS does not work with an FIREWIRE Audio system.

I have been using more than 1 year OBS to do live streaming, and I have not had any problems.

My previous sound card is firewire.

I do not understand why changing saffire pro 24, saffire pro 26 I stopped listening to the entry line,

I have tried everything I can think of and there is no way.

I'm about to leave, because I can not think of anything.

I appreciate any help I can get. I need to see the audio signal in OBS

I have tested the device on another MAC where I have Sierra installed, and I do not see it capture the incoming audio.

I would like to know if it is a problem of my devices, or in this case a software problem, to be able to take another alternative.

I've been using OBS for over a year with an external firewire card (Focusrite Saffre Pro 24 DSP) Without any other software to capture audio. Only using the card, and OBS.

I switched to a top card (Focusrite Saffire Pro 26) and I can not pass the sound through the software.

I would love to continue using OBS, since it works very well, is simple and does not eat resources.

The question is: Can I use OBS with my external audio card (Saffire Pro 26) to capture audio from an input line?

Jajajajaja The past of educated to rude. And directly, another program. I have already seen that there is no answer to people with problems similar to mine with the external media. You leave them without giving any answer. I know that obligation you do not have any, but if you have a project, the normal and logical is to help who uses it. As I said, I have already seen several people with my same problem, which you do not answer. So the application has a very basic problem with external devices. Nothing happens, change of application and period. Thank you for doing nothing.

Hey man, i stumbled across a post whilst troubleshooting my sat 24 pro and obs. Basically I have my 5&6 outs going into a cheap Numark 1in 1 out device usb which goes into my MacBook and wallah i have my full set up working! simple and works well

I have a Saffire Pro 24 as well. I keep seeing that it USED TO work, but nowhere can I find anything stating that XYZ commit broke it and they aren't going to fix it. No explanation given anywhere that I can see. Also, I tried the Sound Flower thing. It also doesn't work, is very hack-tastic, and I already have Ableton, Traktor, and Max for Live running. The audio subsystem of this app also just seems a little hackey and poorly implemented right now, but I am sure it will evolve if the forum members don't chase all the new users away. While OBS has all sorts of on point options where you can select and customize audio adapters and other devices, you can completely override everything by selecting one on the general page, have to select one on the general page regardless, and its not clear what a working setup for an advance configuration like someone would have in a studio would even look like.

I get the feeling they are not going to have this fixed any time soon, and maybe don't know how to. If anyone wants me to do some testing I have decent coding and debugging skills and would be happy to try some stuff and share the results. Unfortunately it looks like for now, and maybe forever more if you have one of these badass firewire audio adapters you are pretty much out of luck.

I can understand if there are conflicts and these guys just don't want to support them going forward. At some point I will be purchasing a new studio laptop and only have USB3 now. It is a superior interface all things considered, but these 1394 connections are still awesome for media applications so I will be sad to see them go.

I just downloaded the following free and commercial alternatives and am guessing that any number of them will just work right out of the box and I will lose interest in this:
