Question / Help No audio in stream or recording

Hi all,

New to OBS and attempting to get it up and running for streaming on facebook live.

I can't seem to be able to get audio working in my streams OR my recordings, despite being able to see audio levels on my device in the mixer in OBS. Is anyone able to tell what I'm doing wrong?? Screenshots attached.

Are you using tracks 1 or 2 for your audio track in recording or streaming?

For MIC and DESKTOP. check Track 1 in Advanced Audio Properties.


If you want separate audio tracks for editing purposes:

Blackmagic: 1, 2
Mic: 1, 3
Desktop: 1, 4

Track 1 is sent to stream. You can edit each sound source separately in tracks 2, 3 and 4.

I'm having the same issues. I have a mac book air and am trying to link audio to recording. When I listen back to recording, I hear nothing from the computer but only from the microphone

If you're on a mac, why are you in the windows section?
