For a special film project, I have two 4K UVC cams attached to my Mac. I added a Video Capture and an Audio Capture source for each one. I can see their previews and the audio meters, so I know they work.
However, every time I do a Start/Stop Recording, my video files look good but they have NO AUDIO.
I can’t for the life of me figure out what Settings are missing, nor why this doesn’t just work by default.
As a dev with 30+ years UX/UIexperience, I find it absurd to configure A/V separately when they’re integral features of connected webcam devices. And the default behavior should be to record them natively without having to assign “effects” that clearly aren’t effects.
Also, it’s absurd to have no way to disable output for the global Scene view. That video is useless to me and I don’t want it consuming resources unnecessarily. So I guess you can add me to the list of users requesting this simple feature: a switch.
