No audio from OBS

I recently upgraded my PC from Win 10 to Windows 11. I also updated OBS to ver 29, NDI to 4.6 and PTZoptics camera to the latest firmware. The video is working great. No change from previously. The problem is with mp3 files that I play on certain scenes. For mic input I use a Focusrite Scarlett solo. I can see the mic input on the OBS mixer.

If I launch a mp3 using the Windows player it plays correctly. (PC analog out to amp and speakers ) If I launch the same file from an OBS scene there is no output. I can see it on the OBS mixer, however. It is on under advanced properties. but no sound.

Any ideas? This used to work before my upgrade.

Thanks

I tried the three options in advanced settings. No change. Did not try a different format. mp3 has always worked and seeing the level meter in the mixer bounce around I assumed that it was being decoded.

If OBS thinks it is Monitor only, then being decoded but not streamed/recorded. Or any number other reasons.. some OBS Studio settings you did, some plug-in related, or Windows, driver, or OBS bugs?? lots of possibilities

Notice how there is a pinned post in this forum about asking for help when you have a problem and including a link to your OBS Studio log ? link in my .sig

Per the suggestion above I have included the link to the log file. I started OBS, verified that the problem was present, and generated the log file. Still a lot of stuff there.

Any help in figuring why I can hear computer sounds and mp3 using Windows audio player through the computer speakers but not mp3s queued by OBS would be appreciated.

There's no ouput session on the log file which is needed.

Also, you want to remove mcaffee malware from your system.

What do I do to create an output session? This group of scenes has been running pretty much as is for over two years. Only recent change was moving from ver 27 to ver 29.

Thanks

Do a test stream for no less than 30 seconds doing as you normally do.
And if you just updated from 27 to 29 you have caused the issue by not updating all the plugins. If a plugin don't have an update, then remove it.

And read the freaking analyzer.
