Hi,
As the title indicates, I'm attempting to capture a media source in my recording. I realize that I will NOT get a live preview of the media source from OBS Studio, as the feature has not been implemented yet. (In fact, I just read a thread with a lot of vitriol directed at Osiris and Jim on the subject.) That's fine. I'm not a professional streamer ("yet?" I append with a question mark) and have a different issue.
The audio from my media source--having attempted a video file recorded in OBS Studio, an MP3, and that said MP3 converted to an Ogg Vorbis file--isn't playing in my recording. When I used a video file, it plays the video footage, but not the audio; OBS Studio also does capture my microphone input and my desktop audio just fine. To be absolutely clear: the audio is not playing in the RECORDED VIDEO FILE produced by OBS Studio. I am very aware that the live preview functionality doesn't exist in OBS Studio yet and that isn't what I'm asking after.
For the technical side of things:
Motherboard: ASUS Z97-A
CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K (Devil's Canyon! WOO!)
Memory: 16 GB CORSAIR Vengeance DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
OS: Windows 10 (Anniversary Update, but OBS Studio works fine aside from this little hiccup, I promise)
Primary storage: SAMSUNG 850 EVO 500 GB SSD
Secondary storage: WD Black 5TB HDD
GPU: MSI GeForce 970 GTX 4GB
Webcam: Logitech C920 Pro (not used as an audio source)
Microphone: Blue Yeti USB Microphone, also what I plug my headphones into to hear
I'm not sure how much of the above is relevant, but I didn't want to leave anything out in case it was needed. On that note as well...
