Hey guys,
I recently made an account here and honestly don't know what to expect but I figured I would give this a try. After using OBS's streaming capabilities with Twitch for about a year now, I must say I'm very pleased. However, since I started college streaming hasn't really been an option for me because my school's internet connection is highly unstable. So, I figured I would simply record all my gameplay to a separate hard drive and upload it once I finished (something many YouTubers do anyway). After tinkering with the settings, I finally found a configuration that was agreeable with all my hardware and began recording. Unfortunately, the files that resulted from any of my recording lacked audio. This baffled me because OBS showed movement in both the microphone and game audio meters, so I figured I was ready to go. After playing with all the settings, changing the audio devices and using different mics, I was at a loss for ideas because the meters were showing audio while recording, but the files just didn't have any. This isn't the case when I stream, which confuses me even more because I figured it was a problem with my hardware. Anyways, if anyone would be able to help me out on this, I would be extremely grateful because after perusing the internet for possible solutions and fixes, I just don't have any other options.
