Newbie trying to use 2 cameras

I create Scene 1 w/ CAM1, Scene 2 w/ CAM2.

When I switch scenes the screen goes black. The camera's (Logitech C920) blue light illuminates but nothing shows in the window. Going to 'Properties' the camera is on and sending video.

Also I have to deactivate the camera in it's respective scene before switching scenes.

I'm brand new here, please be tolerant... ;-)

if i understand correctly, you cannot leave your cameras active? so you need to deactivate one to have the 2nd one come on? IF that is the case then it sounds like you have run out of resources for the usb controller, if your computer has more than 1 usb controller move one camera to another controller, check to see if the inside of the port is black or blue, try and avoid black (usb2.0) ports in favor of blue (usb3.0) ports.

edit: when replying please include the specs for your computer to better assist in troubleshooting. (ie: cpu, ram, gpu, hdd/ssd)

When asking for help in this forum, best to follow pinned post (linked in my .sig) regarding posting an OBS log from a streaming/recording session (NOT just opening/closing OBS, which misses important logging details)
