Also, as OBS is a sophisticated app, I'd recommend making sure you have the camera to computer interface working properly (as well as can be over a USB2 connection). So use some other app (Zoom?) and confirm video is visible as you expect.
Then, set up video as Video Input in OBS

And, recognize that you'll get much higher resolution using HDMI output with a HDMI capture card. But then you have a whole different set of technical complications and considerations. Granted we spent some money, but I checked out using my 80D as an upgrade to a webcam, and though much better, and I wasn't happy with results, and still would have been poor livestream viewing experience for parish members. We went the route of getting a PTZ camera and are much happier as a result. Now we went NDI top tier camera for future expansion, which wasn't cheap. But you could get a USB PTZ camera that will provide a much better experience than an older T7/USB2 image, unless you have some really good (not kit) lens and/or lots of light in the Sanctuary
A key factor is 1. worship style, and 2 distance from camera to person being filmed. From our Choir loft/balcony to Alter is 50+ft, so needed a 16x-20x optical zoom for decent viewing of person at pulpit, lectern, altar, etc. I have a EF 70-300 IS lens, on APS-C body (so FF almost 500mm lens equivalent, and that wasn't enough). So .. depends on your layout and whether having computer/camera in the middle (or front) of the audience is acceptable

Thanks for prompt responses,, but we are on a waitlist to have a PC built for church, and we was trying to use a laptop that has windows 8.1 and EOS wont work, that is why we was trying the OBS, but when connected to OBS, there is no picture on the screen, only black screen,,we was trying to work through these links for this weekend service

Realize that OBS is only using what the OS (Win8.1 in this case) lets through
So if you are having trouble getting EOS webcam utility to work on Win8.1, adding OBS on top if it won't help
And if the only reason you are using OBS is to get camera image, then you are trying to use a very complex tool that adds lots of important features (I set up our House of Worship livestream using OBS and PowerPoint to display camera video and service bulletin... but whether this matters to your situation depends on style of worship, for example, I'd assume much less important in evangelical settings vs liturgical, but I digress).

A common troubleshooting technique I recommend - get the thing (audio or video) working outside of OBS, then add into OBS. So in your case, I'd
- reboot the Win8.1 PC
- make sure unnecessary processes stopped/disabled (reboot again if appropriate).
- get Canon utility working on system (beware USB Root Hub contention possibility.. ie beware what all you have plugged into what USB ports)
A google search turns up a canoncanada.custhelp.com article on getting Camera recognized by Win8.1 PC.
Oh and beware cheap USB cables

Thanks to all that responded, ultimately i upgraded my PC OS, so now i have it all taken care of,,, Now i am trying to learn how to create scenes to help in our production of Our Online Stream for Our church service.
Again, Much THANKS for all the input on this matter...
BLESSINGS
