Also, as OBS is a sophisticated app, I'd recommend making sure you have the camera to computer interface working properly (as well as can be over a USB2 connection). So use some other app (Zoom?) and confirm video is visible as you expect.
Then, set up video as Video Input in OBS
And, recognize that you'll get much higher resolution using HDMI output with a HDMI capture card. But then you have a whole different set of technical complications and considerations. Granted we spent some money, but I checked out using my 80D as an upgrade to a webcam, and though much better, and I wasn't happy with results, and still would have been poor livestream viewing experience for parish members. We went the route of getting a PTZ camera and are much happier as a result. Now we went NDI top tier camera for future expansion, which wasn't cheap. But you could get a USB PTZ camera that will provide a much better experience than an older T7/USB2 image, unless you have some really good (not kit) lens and/or lots of light in the Sanctuary
A key factor is 1. worship style, and 2 distance from camera to person being filmed. From our Choir loft/balcony to Alter is 50+ft, so needed a 16x-20x optical zoom for decent viewing of person at pulpit, lectern, altar, etc. I have a EF 70-300 IS lens, on APS-C body (so FF almost 500mm lens equivalent, and that wasn't enough). So .. depends on your layout and whether having computer/camera in the middle (or front) of the audience is acceptable
