Hi, im sort of a noob when it comes to recording and I finally found OBS. Ive mostly figured out how to work it but when i go to record Minecraft it says I have no sources selected when I am pretty sure I have selected the source. Any help would be great. Thanks!

To create a source, right click the sources box (bottom center big box in the main window), go to add, then click the type of source you wish to add (captures, text, images, etc).
