Question / Help New Twitch Servers...

Watching smaller streams I often get lots of buffering. Now I'm watching a Riotgames stream with 115k viewers and I get no lag. My question is; since yesterday's update is there some new optimization that streamers should be doing?

I guess I should ask if the lag for smaller streams is a normal problem for people..or is there some kind of optimization the riot games stream is doing that the smaller streams I'm watching are not.

For smaller streams, you are at the mercy of whatever video delivery server happens to be handling that stream. The larger streams with thousands of viewers generally get spread out over more servers all across the Twitch network, so you'll be more likely to get a server that's actually close to you for better performance.

Generally the only thing you can do to reduce stream lag is to lower bitrate.
