Hello,

New to streaming. I am looking to stream on Twitch with my Canon 6D DSLR.I connected to the EOS utility software and have current Firmware installed (1.1.9). I cannot seem to get the camera to be viewable to the software. Please and thank you!

DSLR cameras and camcorders are not built to be webcams. Preview functions via USB can't be used in OBS. To get a clean video and audio feed from a DSLR or camcorder, you need a HDMI capture card.

According to the Elgato Cam Link, the 6D is not suitable for streaming.

Notes: HDMI output has crop and low resolution. This camera turns off after a certain amount of time and is not recommended for live streaming.

On a side note, you MAY be able to use a custom firmware to make the 6D suitable (enable 'clean' HDMI output, disable the auto-off).

Google search for 'Canon 6D Magic Lantern'. As it's a custom firmware it will void your warranty and comes with some element of risk, but many people use it to extend the abilities of their Canon DSLRs.
You'll need to check the ML feature list to see if the 6D gains clean HDMI and the ability to disable the auto-off though before you start, otherwise it'll be pointless (aside from making your camera a better camera, that is).

Downloaded and installed. Still can't seem to get it to register on OBS. Any thoughts? Will I still need a capture card?

You will still 100% need a capture card. MagicLantern does not allow the camera to show up as a UVC device.
I'd strongly recommend plugging the HDMI out into a TV first to make sure you like the quality of the video you see from the camera, as a good capture card tends to be a few hundred dollars.
