ive downloaded the obs but cannot run it. it pops up and says i need to install directx . i did it or at leasts thought i did yet it will not run can someone help me with this please?

Try the webinstaller of DirectX and install or "reinstall" it

Make sure to get the exact error message listed. There are a few possible errors:
-DX10 hardware instruction set not fully supported by GPU (common in older/integrated GPUs)
-DX dependency issue (search the forum for Directx dependency fix; uncommon)
-DirectX software package needing an update (very uncommon)
We won't know which one it actually is without the exact error message.
