Question / Help New to streaming and OBS: Fit-to-page?

I really like this program already! My only issue now is getting my PS3 to show up on-screen through component. Cap card is AverMedia Live Gamer Extreme, I heard last night there are better cards, which I don't doubt, but this is what I've got to work with for the moment.

I can't seem to get the signal to display, and the short time it did, it was the upper right corner of the PS3 home screen, in a block that wasn't fitted to the full screen.

I tried every resolution option, tried stretching to fit (it just stayed in the fixed range even when I pulled the middle right tab)
Avermedia's program is piping a message through to that block which says: "Signal out of range, please adjust your resolution to the supported range"

I would really appreciate some help because I'm going with a "classic gamer" theme with the component aspect of the PS3.

First, update to OBS Studio.

Then you need to match the settings of the video capture source in OBS with what your PS3 outputs, and ideally configure the PS3 to output to a single resolution. So for example if you configure your PS3 to output at 1280x720 and 59.94 FPS then that's what the video capture source needs to use as well. Set the canvas size under Settings > Video to match as well and everything should fit just fine.
