new to obs.

hi. im trying to record gameplay with obs studio. I have a decent graphics card and a decent cpu as well. my cpu is AMD Ryzen 7 3700X, and my gpu is AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT. However, I don't know what is making my recording lag, drop in frames, and low quality. My encoder for recording is x264, and if I change it to H265/HEVC Encoder, my recording barely even moves. Gameplay is very smooth in game, but my recordings seem to have a problem.

For recording, use simple output mode, indistinguishable recording quality, MKV format, and software low cpu usage preset as your encoder

the quality of my recording definitely got better, but I am still struggling on the video's fps. if I were to say I think I get around 3 to 5 frames per second, and it is inconsistent. is there a way I can change this? Thanks.
