Question / Help New to OBS, please help.

Hello. I just started OBS recently . I have been watching youtube videos and kinda get it. My biggest confusion is bit rate. My upload speed is really slow, so I have to put the bitrate kinda low which causes the quality to be not so great. Is there anyway to improve the quality of my videos? Right now I put around 800-1000. Thank you.

You really don't have enough bitrate to really stream at any good quality level. I really think you should get a better connection. I don't like having to say it, but it's the truth.
