Question / Help New to OBS, Need help figuring this out

So, as you can tell from the title, I am just starting to use OBS.

I have been following tutorials and stuff, but I keep finding myself with the same problem. My OBS does not record video for some reason. I have it set to File Output in the broadcast settings, but whenever I record and then stop, the file that is produced only contains sound, not video. I created a Monitor capture for the source, and when I press to start recording, it shows me the screen, but the final file only contains sound.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Your video player probably can't handle H264 properly. Try playing it back in VLC.
