Question / Help New to OBS: Microphone not working.

I finally decided to get ahold of OBS for the first time today (I had previously been using other programs that simply weren't making the cut, and OBS came highly recommended). After looking up a few tutorials, I set everything up to record, except that no microphone sounds are being recorded, or even picked up.

I went on a search to see who else has had my problem, and none of their solutions have worked for me. My microphone is set to the default device, it isn't muted, and push-to-talk is not enabled. Below is my log file. If anyone could give me any suggestions (keep in mind that I'm not the most tech-savy person), I would very much appreciate it.

Somebody recently had a similar problem so I'll just ask, is your microphone on your OBS screen grayed out?
If yes, it's a slider, so just click on the bars and you can hold / drag to adjust the microphone volume that way.
