Question / Help New to OBS, dropped frames everywhere

Hi, I'm new to OBS and I'm dropping frames like crazy. I realize to counter this I need to adjust my bit rates, as well as lower resolutions. However, it seems there is some inconsistency in what rates I should be doing. Two days ago I did an 8 hour dayZ stream with 2000 dropped frames total at 540p. Yesterday with the same rates I was dropping 60% of frames, I had to actually switch to 360p and lower my bit/audio rate by a ton. Would disabling CBR fix this? I have quality auto set at 8.

Now for the best part, I live inside mainland China. You knee jerk reaction will be to blame this on the firewall of China/internet, but I have a 100 mb/s line. With this kind of upload, should I not be able to do 540p or 480p at an 800 bitrate? http://testmy.net/compID/1056493559258 (the 4mb/s was a small file size). ps: connecting to Singapore, when I'm dropping frames connecting to US west/central does nothing

To sum, the sheer inconsistency of what my settings need to be is making me go insane.

Network issues are rarely consistent. I think twitch probably doesn't generally like it when you disable CBR but it's not really a huge deal, just means it could affect viewers depending on their connection. CBR prevents QoS issues more than anything.

Singapore server tends to have a lot of issues regardless of where you are. There seems to be issues generally with streaming from the eastern side of the planet, so it's probably not your fault or anything, just difficult to find reliable servers that aren't all far away.
