New to OBS, coming from slobs. Items like window capture and overlay frame keep shifting/moving on scene changes. I don't understand why it moves? Every scene change it like moves little by little down or out of frame and I have to drag it back before transitioning live in studio mode. Any help will be appreciated!

Window Capture, if you resized the window it will affect what is captured in OBS since... the capture is from the exact window size when you first created it as in if you simply resized the height or width of that window if it will affect the source of the Window Capture shown inside OBS. However if you have not changed the size of the window as to exactly when you first created that window capture then I would say that I have never ever seen that before the issue you are having, maybe try recreating your entire setup again in OBS. Maybe try it as clean as in new user settings, uninstall OBS and delete the user settings. Then install OBS again and try testing from new what you are doing of window sources and changing scenes.

Also seems odd an image source assuming that is what you use of overlay is moving on its own too.

better way to put it is, it isnt keeping its position if that changes your answer. It doesn't resize or anything but the position of where it's placed on screen it shifts.

Well hopefully making the whole setup from scratch it doesn't reappear the source position shifting. Also you are "locking" the sources right? I'll assume yes it would be odd if you aren't locking them :P that prevents sources from being accidentally moved.

ok I'm starting to figure out what's "causing it" but not the solution. It's when I use studio mode, positions start to shift when I scene change which I dont understand lol. It's only with the video capture window and a window capture along with its overlay frame/group. In regular mode, it seems not to do it. thoughts?

Did you also test with a clean install of OBS(including deleting the user settings)?

It doesn't happen on my side, just tested with Studio Mode and switching scenes with window captures, browser sources, a game capture and 2 video captures. They all stay exactly where I have them.

I didn't yet, took me a looong time to get these scenes right only for the studio mode to mess it up. It has been fine since I stopped using studio mode and now don't want to touch anything lmao. I guess if I really NEED studio mode, i'll do the fresh install thing, thanks for your help!

Yeah I understand ;) me myself I only switch to Studio Mode when I need to hide something for a little bit that the viewers should not look at :P (me entering a login/pass or sensitive info) the whole time is just normal OBS screen
