Question / Help New, seeking general information and advice

Hello all..welcome to me..

A friend with some experience recommended wirecast. I don't have 500 frog pelts.

I want to do green screen to disk at present. I am using Lightworks for editing. I am a very experienced cameraman and very novice editor. I do not want to do live at present, but intend to learn to do it.

Cameras are 1080p...Panasonic AC90. Hot desktop, not-so-hot old laptop in the garage....strike that...Studio. :clears throat;

Please advise.
Thank you for your time, attention, and knowledge.

I can tell you are translating and the translation is tough to understand. I'm guessing you are wanting to local record with OBS.

post a logfile once you try this and update this thread.

Thank dping, for the prompt response.

How does OBS compare in features...ability to do things... and ease of use with the similar and more expensive program named wirecast?

It it compatible with 1080p @ 60 FPS?

Is there a basic tutorial about the design and use of the OBS please direct me to it.

Will it be useful to do green screen recording, or will I be better off using only Lighworks---it has GS capabilities built-in.

My native language is American English.

Thank you for your help,

jim
