Question / Help New OBS user here. Need help

I've been trying to record (not streaming) some COD Warzone and my footage is extremely laggy. The quality of the video is fine but my footage is super laggy. My CPU is a Intel Core i5 - 9400F @290 GHZ. My graphics card is a MSI RX 580. If it helps, I run OBS @ 5000 KBPS. Please keep it mind I really don't know what I'm doing. Thanks.

Please post a log with your issue! Here's how...

OBS Studio creates a log file each time you run it which contains very useful diagnostic information. Without a log file, it's much harder for any support volunteers to figure out problems and your post may be ignored. To upload a log file, go to the Help menu > Log Files > Upload Last Log...

Unfortunately, that logfile does not contain a live streaming or recording session. We need one that does, during a time where the issue was occurring, to be able to analyze and advise.

Encoding lag in your case is CPU overload.
