Question / Help New OBS audio option Question

So I was setting up my obs to stream today and I noticed a new feature, "Use Input device for desktop audio" in the audio section... this makes those of us with a dazzle (and the hookups to the front mic) very happy as it means we can stream our dazzle audio without any delays... the problem is... I can't hear it... only those watching my stream can. Is there any way to also have this audio output to my speakers or my headset as well? If you could do that... it would be amazing. Any and all help is appreciated.

Hmmm you have you tried enabling the "listen" ability for that device in the Recording Tab in the sound panel? Fast way to get to it would be right click the speaker icon and select Recording Devices, then select the item in the list you are referring to and go to properties, go to the listen tab and check the Listen to this device and select the playback you want.

You might want to try the directshow audio plugin instead in the "work in progress" sub-forum of the plugins forum, should give an option to output as desktop audio.

Maybe the windows listen to feature can do the job for you.

As I mentioned earlier I don't have a listen tab in windows, it's either my sound card or a vista thing, quite common.

And Jim, the directshow audio plugin for the front mic leaves an audio delay of a couple seconds, whereas if I use the new feature there is no delay (I can see the audio spike whenever I do something to make noise). What I am hoping for is whether or not we can get the "Use Input device for desktop audio" to play through my speakers somehow... any way at all.
