Question / Help New NVidia Driver update and OBS hate each other?

Hi there,

Log file: https://obsproject.com/logs/ppSdJwMvLYoG87yt

Here's a thing. I think the latest NVidia Driver Update (ver. 430.86) completely ruined my OBS. It was all working fine and now even when I just launch OBS (no recording, streaming) my GPU usage peaks to 100% every few seconds, even my mouse cursor slightly freezes, FPS drop to as low as 0.97. I tried tweaking settings, tried reinstalling both driver and OBS, removing all sources from scenes with no avail.

Games work just fine it's just as soon as I turn on OBS my PC is melting. The roll back driver button in my hardware manager is grayed out so I can't go back to the previous version.

Any ideas how this can be resolved? Or what may be the issue here?

I don't think the problem is your display driver, I think it's your CamLink driver:

14:29:55.449: audio type: Capture
14:29:56.775: adding 21 milliseconds of audio buffering, total audio buffering is now 21 milliseconds (source: New Camlink)
14:29:56.775:
14:30:04.720: Max audio buffering reached!
14:30:04.720: adding 938 milliseconds of audio buffering, total audio buffering is now 960 milliseconds (source: New Camlink)

That much audio buffering being created so quickly is a problem.

If you make a blank/fresh profile and scene collection, does the issue still occur?

If you recreate your existing scene(s) but omit the CamLink, does the issue occur?

If you duplicate your existing scene collection, and then remove the CamLink source from those scenes, does the issue still occur?

Yes, it was the camlink. I basically did everything from scratch. Including firmware update on camlink and adding a new source and it seems to be working fine now. Thank you for your reply.
