Question / Help New Mojave update has added eGPU feature, will OBS use it?

"Users may now optionally request to use an external GPU (eGPU) when an app's window is located on a display connected directly to the Mac, including the built-in display on iMac or MacBook Pro. This option is enabled by selecting the app icon in Finder, choosing File > Get Info, and then checking the 'Prefer External GPU' checkbox."

This means an eGPU will be useable as an encoder option in OBS now right? Or will it just be used by default once enabled within MacOS, no OBS encoder option needed?
