I got myself a new Isk USB condencer mic.
The only problem is it's input volume is insanely low when I try to record with OBS or Audacity.
All my settings are at max and the settings in control panel are at 100% and boosted.
But it's barely there. I know the mic works because I've been using it on skype with zero hicups.

I've tried boosting it in sound settings (Settings > Audio > Mic/Aux Boost) but It gives me a bunch of static in the background, it sounds like the mic is in a tumble dryer, and I don't know where the booster settings are in Audacity.

I make sure to have my tv, etc. off so it doesn't interfer but it's still not picking my voice up, even when I've shouted into it but everything else picks it up just fine.
I'd like a way to get them both recording well so I can dub over my vids and record nice clean sound.

Getting the best possible quality out of a good microphone is not always easy. Depending on the microphone having the volume turned up all the way in the windows sound settings can be a bad idea, so instead you can try to lower the volume there and boost it more in OBS.

Make sure to read through any kind of manual that was included with the microphone, they often come with steps to follow or recommendations for the settings to get the best possible quality.

I tried, it seem to be no good, there's still random static.
The only reason I don't want to record my voice track with Audacity at the same time, because I could get it a bit cleaner, is I'm on my laptop and it's processor isn't very good.
