Heya guys, im pretty new on the world of streaming and obs and im here to ask you a little bit of help!

I was wondering what could be the optimal settings for streaming on twicht with my actual set up:

I7 6700K (4.0ghz)
GTX 1070
16GB ram DDR4 2400mz
50Mb/5Mb network (up/down)

At the moment Im pretty interested in streaming Overwatch and maybe some LoL, I use to play on a 144hz monitor and i have a 60hz second monitor too and i dont have twicht partner. I feel a bit confuse because i dont know what settings are the optimal for me... Some guides says 2500bitrate 720p 30 fps, others say 3500bitrate 1080p 60fps... 3000 bitrate 720p 60fps...
And to be honest... I tested some settings and all of them feel cool (my pc dont explodes on my face) but i dont know what settings are the optimal for making the streaming easy to watch for everyone.

So thats why im here asking on forums what are the best settings in my case... thank you in advance!

2500 bitrate with 720p, 30 fps is recommended for non-partners on twitch to assure a mostly smooth stream for your viewers. Once you get transcoding from Twitch you can upgrade to 3500 (upper limit of Twitch) and try out 60 fps or go to 1080p (check if the quality if good enough for you).

Ty for the quick answer mate!

What do you mean with getting the "transcoding" from twitch? You get this "transcoding" with the partner or something like that? Also i suppose that using 720p with 60fps is only good when you have 3500 bitrate or you can try it with less bitrate?

Transcoding is when your viewers can choose the stream quality them self (that low, medium, high, source thingy).
This is available to all partners as well to regular users once they hit a certain number of viewers (and twitch has some leftover capacity). This also means that your stream will get better distribution to your international viewers.

You can try 720p60 with less bitrate, but fast games like overwatch will probably degrade to a pixel-mess. It might work well enough with LoL.

This is only an estimate, you need to decide yourself with test recordings if the quality is on a level you are satisfied with.

All clear now! Thanks again for the answer.
I guess I'll go 2500 bitrate 720p,30fps till i get the transcoding and then I will try to make some test with higher settings since my sey up seems to handle them pretty nice...
