Question / Help New Here, want to stream video file to youtube

Hi there,

I am new here and not sure where to start. I have looked at the getting started guide but I didn't find what I wanted in there so I thought I would ask here.

I want to stream a local video file to youtube in a live event.

How do I load a local video file and stream it?
How do I authentic or connect obs with my youtube channel and see the live event I want to stream to?

I have been able to do this with wirecast (yuck) but it kept getting really choppy video and was rather buggy and I have heard really good things about obs just not sure how to use it.
