Hello! first time forum posting here so apologies if i do this wrong.
I have recently upgraded my GPU from an AMD RX290 to a Gigabyte 1080 turbo.
the problem i am having is, when showing desktop or full screen camera in OBS i have 30/60fps no problem. when i am in a game, OBS frame rate drops to 8-22 FPS. this is happening when i am streaming and not streaming (just having OBS open), but if i click off the game and back to OBS (still showing Game on the preview) frame rates return to normal.
my settings are as below;

Encoder - x264
Enforce Streaming service encoder settings - Ticked
rate control - CBR
Bit Rate -2500 (based on upload speed of 5.2mbs)
CPU usage preset - very fast
Base canvas Resolution - 1920x1080
output - 1280x720

what have i done so far?
1. removed all AMD drivers relative to old GPU and installed current GPU drivers and programs.
2. completely uninstalled OBS removing all scenes and inputs and starting fresh.
3. did a refresh install of windows (hail mary attempt to fix as it hadnt been done in years and wanted to make sure it wasnt a software bottle neck.
i am having no issues external to OBS with graphics purely on the output side.
has anyone seen this before??
