New bug with starting streams (will revert)

First time ever it happened with a new version for me since 2022 january i think
going to find out how to revert to previous version. RX 560 ROG Strix GPU non-EVo, so it can do 1080p 60 fps with AMF Balanced or 30 FPS at Nice/Pretty
Had some strange crashed etc before that, also with ETS 2, thats why i decided to update, but it didnt crash with this new version but this issue happens
language is Hungarian, i can translate anything

Had the same issue this morning. I have AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT. Updated the drivers to 24.6.1 which is the latest and restarted. Same issue. Had to change to the x264 encoder to make it work. Unfortunately, I upgraded this morning before church and didn't test streaming (like I should have). So my stream was down for the first 20 minutes of the service. Looking forward to seeing if anyone has a fix for this. Log files uploaded here: https://obsproject.com/logs/MgNUzRD9NHKE5esd

There was an issue with the in-app updater that caused it to delete files for the old and outdated enc-amf plugin which caused your encoder/streaming session to fail. Encoder that you selected after x264 is the newer AMD/AMF one that ships with OBS Studio since OBS Studio 28. The issue with the in-app updater has since been resolved, but we recommend that users use the newer, maintained AMD encoder plugin.

@Admin ich habe das selbe problem wann kommt da ein pätch bei mir ist alles aktuell ?
Sorry, but we can only provide support in English. There is nothing to fix in OBS itself. The in-app updater relies on an external update manifest which has already been updated to no longer delete the outdated AMD encoder plugin. Should you, for some reason, want to continue using that plugin, you must reinstall an older version of OBS, and then update again.

That said, we recommend that users use the AMD AMF encoder that OBS Studio includes.

I have now installed 30.2 and now everything is running smoothly. Thank you admin for the update to 30.2 and now no more problems with the encoder! :-)

You don't have to install a plugin. OBS includes an AMD AMF encoder with it.

With the H264 non AMF encoder i can do 1080p60 fps with 85-89-91% usage, with balanced preset, for same amount, and at 30 fps the quality preset. however it doesnt look better with balanced so fast is just as great. when will AMF be included again? although I didnt notice differences between H264 and H264 AMF

The "Hardware (AMD, H.264)" entry is the native AMD AMF encoder. It's just not labeled "AMF".

If you are still having trouble, please post an OBS log from when it worked and an OBS log from when it did not work.

oh thanks well, then b oth are AMF. however in fast the cusotm AMF label used 60% GPU usage, native AMD AMF uses 80-90%. and on ba lanced cusotm AMF used that on balanced. however i notice no difference in picture quality, strangely its better than X264 maybe. though i should probably should experiment a bit with X264 more
