Question / Help Never had problems with OBS, suddenly loading > offline

Hi there OBS community,

as i said in the title i've never had any problems with OBS and i gladly switched from Xsplit to it for how simple it was to start a stream.

Unfortunately, i wanted to stream me some Dead Space 3 today for a few friends and something really weird keeps happening, when i start streaming everything is fine and my friends say the stream is loading but then they say there's the offline default screen although my OBS says i'm streaming.

What's even more weird is after i click stop streaming, twitch has recorded what i stream, even though neither me nor my friends saw it streaming...

In some of the buggy streams i was dropping 20% packets, while in others i wasn't dropping anything but the stream still wasn't visible...

I uploaded the logs although i can't seem to find what's wrong and there are only 2 although i must've restarted the stream at least 10 times. Help? :D

I've also Tried Evolve and Xsplit and they both seem to work...maybe it was the latest patch for twitch?

EDIT: I've ALSO enabled some of the things the tips in encoding were telling me to enable before the problem started to occurr but even without those i still get the same error...

Wow, it now seems to work and i saw AAC is better than mp3 so no biggie there.

The fact is though if i activate the CBR+main+2 sec interval i lose a LOT of packets and can't really stream whereas if i put the balance quality 5 without activating everything else i'm fine...is there a reason there or? I only have 800 kb/s on upload (ITALY OP) so yeah...

thanks a lot though i can at least stream now :D must've been a recent change lol

You're probably streaming below your max bitrate when using VBR and a low quality balance, whereas CBR uses your max bitrate at all times. If you can't sustain the max bitrate you've configured then you should lower it or pick a different ingest server. See viewtopic.php?f=5&t=8870

Yeah i see it keeps fluctuating to 1000 and 850 when my max is 800 so i don't really know, tried frankfurt and london, both same, i think i'll keep the quality balance, don't really know if that tip should really be there then, if errors like this can happen.

Oh well, thanks a bunch for the audio heads up, can finally stream again OBS IS KINGGGG
