I have a mono microphone jacked into a stereo audio interface. So the resulting signal going to my computer has Voice on the left channel and silence on the right. Not unusual, really. Force Mono isn't working as expected and Left Only would be handy.
"Force Mono" produces a track that is half the volume of the original audio signal (bug, perhaps?). Switch 'Force Mono' off and original signal volume is retained in the recording.
Maybe I don't know much about downmixing to mono, but it doesn't seem right. Having a Left Channel Only or a corrected Force Mono mix could be very useful to anybody using a more intricate DAW setup.
Also, I do realize I can amplify the mic in the settings by increasing the multiplier to exactly 2, and that's what I'll do for the time being. Ultimately, that workaround that should be unnecessary when everything's working as intended.
Thanks guys!
